Wareham, Minnesota
Wareham is a small unincorporated community in Pine County, Minnesota, United States. Wareham is located immediately south of Sandstone on Government Road. Government Road (also known as "Douglas Highway" or the "Old Military Road") serves as a main route in the community, and Interstate 35 is nearby. The community originally had access to the Great Northern Railway line (with the former rail right-of-way still being used by electrical transmission lines), Kettle River and the stage-coach road built by the military. After Highway 61 was improved by the 1940's, running through nearby Friesland, Wareham became ghost-town. Today, a camp is located in the community, with an access to the river.
